多家美媒皆宣布民主黨總統候選人拜登勝選，
現任總統川普目前仍持續控訴拜登部分選票不合法，
川普於美東時間7日中午仍在推特表示：
「我會贏得這次大選，而且贏很多。」
川普稍早在推特指控部分州開票時不准觀察員進入開票所觀察開票狀況，
而有數百萬人從未收到郵寄選票，這件事從來沒發生過。
川普宣稱：「我贏得了大選，拿下7100萬張合法選票。」
隨後川普又再次於推特推文：
「7100萬張合法選票，現任總統有史以來最多票。」
而川普的推文也被推特多次標註為爭議推文。
川普7日早上在維吉尼亞州的高爾夫球場打球，
並在美東時間下午3點左右返回白宮，
川普返回白宮時也對一旁的媒體記者揮手致意。

美國國務卿蓬佩奧（Mike Pompeo）面對提問時，

但卻是移交給第二任川普政府。
據CNN新聞網10日報導，蓬佩奧至今仍拒絕承認拜登當選，
而川普也提起一連串法律訴訟。
報導指出，雖然承認敗選是慣例，但法律並未要求。
「會平順過渡給第二任川普政府，沒錯，全世界都在看發生了甚麼事，」
蓬佩奧說，
「我們會計完所有的選票，當這過程完成時，會選出選舉人，
這是有流程的，憲法很明確地規定了。」
